Skate UK Class
Tuesday, 01 March 2011 00:33
SKATE UK classes take place in Ayr Ice Rink on Saturday from 11:30am until 12:30pm. These classes are for complete beginners from the age of five years. The aim of this class is to teach skaters the basis skills required in ice figure skating. These classes are supervised by fully qualified coaches who will endeavour to teach these basic skills. During the skaters time in SKATE UK they will have the opportunity to participate in SKATE UK grade tests. Within the structure there are ten grades which incorporate the skating skills required - each grade being more difficult than the one previously completed. When a grade has been completed successfully, a grade badge can be purchased from the club registration desk at a cost of £2:50. During your time in the SKATE UK programme you will have the opportunity to take part in our annual Spiral, Spin and Jump fun day which normally takes place in late November/early December, and it should be emphasised that it is essentially a fun day for the skaters!
Ice skates are available for all skaters at no extra cost. GLOVES AND WARM CLOTHING ARE RECOMMENDED
COST: £25:00 for a six week block
